The student will be familiar with the underlying principles of synchrotron radiation and its main properties, be acquainted with the working principles of SR optical elements and X-ray instrumentation, acquire knowledge of X-ray matter interactions and atomic decay processes, as well as of the photon-in and photon-out X-ray spectroscopy.
