MA level ‘Multilingual Shakespeare’ module culminating in public performances in the last week of the semester. Interdisciplinary course open to all MA students of the Faculty, and of other Faculties wherever logistically possible. Classes will take place within the normal Unifr timetable, with additional time commitment around performance time.
A Shakespeare play will be studied within its critical tradition. Students will work in groups in classtime on the following tasks:
1) Text and translation
2) Costume, props and set design
3) Music, sound effects and dance
4) Performance styles and acting
5) Filming & media content
