Cook: The Language Learning Classroom II [SS 21]

This seminar is one of two courses dealing with the language learning classroom. This first course (LLC I) provides an introduction to the discourse of ELT, methodologies, roles of the language teacher, classroom language and formulating questions, and the use of technology. A major focus is on student presentations about related or supporting topics. This complementary course (Language Learning Classroom II) covers testing & assessment, error correction & feedback, task-based and project-based learning (PBL), and use of course books & self-designed materials.  Both courses assume that participants will teach English in Swiss state schools at Secondary I level.
