The course is structured in three parts:
Part 1: Prof. Fabio Zobi
Vibrational Imaging Methods: this part of the lecture will center on the fundamentals of mid-infrared spectromicroscopy, discussing instrumentation and application of the techniques in chemistry and biomedical science.
Part 2: Prof. Stefan Salentinig
Scattering Methods: this part of the lecture will elaborate on the fundamentals of scattering of light, neutrons and X-rays, discussing instrumentation and application of the techniques to analyse structure and dynamics in chemistry and material science.
Part 3: Prof. Ali Coskun
Advanced NMR techniques: this part of the lecture will discuss the theory, instrumentation and applications of Diffusion-ordered spectroscopy (DOSY), NMR crystallography and solid-state NMR in chemistry and materials science.
