Digital Commerce is one of the most relevant changes in retailing and wholesaling in the last decades, gaining market shares and leading to the emergence of new players, like Amazon or Zalando, who have become huge companies. Long established companies, e.g. H&M, have added digital sales channels.

The objective of this course is that students understand the most important aspects of digital commerce activities, i.e., selling of goods and services via the Internet, via notebooks, smartphones and other emerging channels, to private consumers (B2C) and to commercial customers (B2B).

In addition to the normal lectures, we have organised a number of very attractive guest presentations for this semester because we think that for "Digital Commerce", it's important to get insights from practitioniers and other perspectives. We will get insights from Farmy, Luckabox, Coop Bau+Hobby, Laurastar, e-farm.com and on the very advanced situation in the UK, we'll have a colleague from the University of Oxford speaking to you. Check the document below with the dates for these guest presentations and more information.
