This course introduces the key concepts associated with the network theory and Social Network Analysis (SNA), looking at various political, social, economic, technological and cultural perspectives. It uses a number of case study examples to illustrate aspects in the literature. During the course students will learn Visone, a software tool to conduct their own network analyses. They will gain a deeper understanding of network related issues in the social sciences. As part of the course students will develop their own networks to identify the biases and framing in different texts.
