This course covers a variety of issues affecting the global economy. Each session consists of a mix of discussion of texts and of lecture-style inputs.
The topics include tax competition, tax evasion, free trade, fair trade, the global and intergenerational distribution of the costs of climate change, poverty eradication, democratic control of global economic institutions, remittances and free movement of persons, etc.
