The lecture gives an
introduction to the physics at surfaces and the methods used in systems
where the atomic scale determines the properties. What happens in
reduced dimensions and when a drastically reduced number of atoms
arrange in well-defined structures. Where are the atoms and the
electrons. What are the experimental methods.
The lecture will take place online via MS Teams.
