This is a challenging and interactive workshop-style course for all students from across the university with an intermediate to upper-intermediate level of English (B1-B2). From professional emails to academic essays, this course is ideal for students who would like to develop their writing skills for academic purposes. The main areas of focus on this course include: e-mail communication; review of English sentence structure; connecting ideas in writing; how to write a well-structured paragraph; how to write in a more formal, academic style; how to write an expository essay; and writing about past events. Throughout the course we will explore and review the fundamentals of good writing as well as key areas of grammar and vocabulary so that you have a better idea about what language to use in different forms of written communication in academic contexts.
