The course will take place on Tuesdays. The first session will be on September, 24th.

Please register in time to MS Teams (find the code in the "announcements"). During the session I will not accept requests or provide technical help.

In the course “Sleep & Cognition” students will acquire profound knowledge in sleep research. Students will learn about the basic principles and neural mechanisms of sleep, sleep regulation and sleep disturbances. On this basis, theories and findings about sleep’s functions for cognition, particularly memory, are presented. In the end we will have time to focus on the influence cognition takes on sleep, also in the light of its clinical impact.

The weekly course is validated by a multiple choice exam in the January/February session. Validation of the course is mandatory for starting a master thesis in the option “cognitive neuroscience”. Please note that this course will only take place every second year.
